Taoism Study Group of Baltimore

This group has been held at The Divine Life Church in Baltimore for the past 15 years. Each month, we discuss one passage from the Tao Te Ching written by the Taoist sage Lao Tzu. The discussion is faciltated by Swami Shankaranda, the minister at Divine Life Church. Swami Shankarananda has a unique way of clarifying scriptures from many spiritual traditions and making them relevant in today's world and in each life. The discussion is lively, joyful, and often permeated with laughter.

The group usually meets for 2 hours. Attendees do not need to be familiar with Taoism or The Tao Te Ching. You don't need to bring the book (we are happy to share) and there is no pressure to participate in the discussion. Donations to Divine Life Church are voluntary but appreciated.

Our spiritual community honors all paths to God and the universality of the world's major scriptures and spiritual traditions. These traditions include the mystical teachings of Jesus, Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism, Judaism, and others. Our philosophy emphasizes our connection and oneness with all life, selfless service, meditation, and unconditional love.
